SALE OF OLD FIRE TRUCK

NOTICE OF PUBLIC SALE OF A CITY TANKER FIRE TRUCK:

 

Notice is hereby given by the City of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin that it will receive sealed bids for the sale of the following Tanker 14 Fire Truck equipped with a 3,000-gallon water tank formerly used for firefighting operations, to be sold in “AS IS / WHERE IS” condition:

 

  • Year/Make: 1987 Peterbilt
  • Model: Exact model unknown
  • VIN: 1XP5D29X2HN213826
  • Mileage: Odometer displays 271,268 miles; actual mileage is unknown and the reading is not considered accurate.
  • Condition: Vehicle will be sold AS IS, with no warranties expressed or implied.

 

A reserve price of $15,500 has been set for this vehicle. The seller reserves the right to reject any and all bids that do not meet the reserve.

 

Bidders shall submit a sealed bid to the City of Wisconsin Dells Clerks Office located at 300 La Crosse Street.  The bid shall be for a single lump sum price for the vehicle.  The submitted sealed bid shall include the bidder contact information.  The bid shall be marked "Sealed Bid – Tanker 14 Fire Truck”

City of Wisconsin Dells will publicly open bids at: 1:30 P.M., THURSDAY, December 11, 2025 in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 La Crosse Street, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.  At which time said bids will be publicly opened by the Fire Chief and the City Clerk, with award of sale to the highest bid price, over the reserve price, for the vehicle.  One attempt will be made to notify the highest bidder at the contact information given. 

 

The highest bidder shall submit payment and remove the vehicle from City property within five (5) business days of the bid opening.  If payment is not received and the vehicle is not removed the bid shall be discarded and the next highest bidder will be awarded the sale.  Subsequent bidder shall submit payment and remove the vehicle from City property within five (5) business of contact or next bidder will be contacted for award of sale.
