Meter Reader/Technician 

We're searching for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Meter Reader/Technician - Apprenticeship Available!

The Meter Reader/Technician Apprenticeship is a term of 3 years (no less than 6,432 worked hours) and will be sponsored by the City.  

Wage Schedule: 
Apprentices will be hired at 70% of the base rate of $37.14 per hour. (70% = $26.00ph)
Upon completion of the 1st Period - 80% of Base Rate
Upon completion of the 2nd Period - 90% of Base Rate
Upon completion of the 3rd Period - 100% of Base Rate       

The Meter Reader/Technician performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and repair work in electrical repairs, in maintaining electrical elements, installing, repairing and reading meters for billing and other assignments as determined by the Water and Light Lead or the Director of Public Works.
