This is an UPDATE of roadway closure for the River Road roadway reconstruction project.
Beginning March 17, 2025
- The contractor will begin the construction of Stage 4 of the project. River Road will be closed to through traffic from Kansas Ave to the Waubeek Road and STH 13 intersection.
- Waubeek Road will be closed to through traffic from STH 13 to River Road.
- Local Access will be maintained within the work zone, but there will be no local access through the roundabout during Stage 4 work.
- Access to local residences/businesses on River Road will be maintained from the north at Chula Vista Parkway during Stage 4 Construction. Temporary driveway closures will be communicated by the contractor prior to closing access.
- Staking crews will be on site next week in preparation for the work beginning March 17th. Utility companies will be continuing relocations, so be aware when using project roadways prior to the initial closure. Please be aware of workers within the work zone.
These dates are tentative and subject to change due weather and contractor operations.
Please be patient when traveling through the work zone and plan on using the project Detour/alternate routes to avoid closures if possible.
